Lee Scott’s 10,000 New, Disposable Jobs

When I asked my manager when I could expect a return to 40 hours, I was told we were in “tough times”. No kidding. My propane bill stuck in my door one week was $589. My paycheck that week was $541. It was already committed to my mortgage. I made $4000 less in 2008 than in 2007. I seriously doubt that Lee Scott or Eduardo Castro-Wright had any problems paying their fuel bills. I am single and also have some medical bills that amounted to over $700 and have struggled to pay these. I am also paying toward tuition for a return to school that has yet to free me from this company. Oh and when gas was above $4 and it was a struggle to fill the tank, the company was complaining about sales. Duh. Cut me approx $200 per month and hire and train some cheap, new help (these are the 10,000 new jobs created in 2008 that Lee Scott bragged about on the Charlie Rose show earlier) who will quit before they even get started. This company needs to listen to what President Obama says and become more responsible. Shame on all of them.
