Mocked By Manager For Religious Beliefs
That’s when it all started; within 4 hours of that conversation I was given a decision day, which is the last step in the discipline process before termination. I had not received any previous warnings or write ups. The manager who I spoke to also started making comments to me about my religious beliefs. She said things like “now don’t get mad at me and put a spell on me” and “would you turn those people into a frog for me.” These things may seem like harmless jokes, but they were said in front of other Associates who then figured out that I am Wiccan. The company has refused to hear my concerns about this matter, and they also refuse to give me the write ups that I should have gotten before they took this final step in the disciplinary process. I have spoken to a few people outside of the company and they all agree that this is outrageous and the company MUST be forced to treat its associates with dignity.
