Pregnancy Discrimination
“So I moved about 40 minutes away and I put in for a transfer. They would not accept it even though I met all criteria. The store manager said it was holiday time and she was not going to sign off on it. I stayed there bugging her everyday to push the transfer through. FINALLY, they granted my request and I started at the new location. When I was about seven months pregnant, I went to the doctor and he said I had very high blood pressure and to cut back hours. I was a part-time employee so I didn’t think it was a issue. Unfortunately, they felt it was an issue. They said they could not cut back my hours and they threw me in the automotive dept, which I knew NOTHING about for about a week. I had enough, so I complained and they brought me back up front. I then put in for my doctor’s appointments and since they were more frequent - they DENIED THEM! When I put in for my leave of absence they DENIED THAT TOO!! They would even get mad when I asked to go pee. They told me TO HOLD IT or go on my breaks. I ended up walking out on that company. They were rude and did not care about anything but themselves.
