Second thoughts after second day at Wal-Mart
Today was my 2nd day at Walmart. I spent eight hours watching the computer training videos. They were the most redundant, condescending, and rambling things I have ever seen. Is it really necessary for the hourly employees to know the difference between which three types of rats normally infest the store? Gosh, are we allowed to work off the clock? They only go over that point about 14 different times. It’s amazing what a multi-million dollar lawsuit does to a company. And the zero tolerance policy on profanity? Come on…while sitting in the break room on my lunch hour, I overheard three supervisors using the “f” word no less than six times. I’m making less per hour than I did 15 years ago. I’m really beginning to wonder about my decision to take this job….
