Treated like dirt after 10 years of loyal employment…
What I don’t understand is how Wal-Mart is able to cut their employees to part-time hours if you were hired into a full-time position…is that even legal? They are getting ready to drop the new mandatory schedules and I dont even know if I will get enough hours.
I have worked for this company for 10 years. I have put my blood sweat and tears into it. I worked as a department manager for five years of working weekends and late shifts - doing whatever they wanted me to do. Now Wal-Mart is telling me that I need to find daycare that will be open 24 hours 7 days a week and that doesn’t even exist in my town. Even if it did the daycare would charge a arm and a leg for it and I already pay $120 a week for day for one child and Wal-Mart wages barely let me meet my bills as it is.
How can they be so cold hearted? I remember Sam Walton saying that we associates are important to Wal-Mart…like family even. Sam Walton would turn over in his grave if he knew what Lee Scott was doing to his company. I知 living in a small town and getting another job means starting at minimum wage. How am I supposed to do that with a mortgage, a car payment, and other bills? I believe I知 being punished for having a child. Isn稚 it my right to have a child? I知 not on government assistance. I take care of myself and my child and I believe I知 being punished because I知 trying to be a responsible American by taking care of my child with out any help. But Wal-Mart doesn稚 want me to do that…they want me to struggle. I guess its true when they say, “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.” The executives want to push us down in the dirt because it makes them feel big and in control, but they are the one hiding in Bentonville with their rules and regulations. I dare them to look my daughter in the face and tell her where her next meal is coming from. Wal-Mart makes me sick ten long years for NOTHING!!!!!!!!!
