Wal-Mart Store Manager Lied To State Unemployment Agency
I was told that I needed to come back in my full capacity without restrictions. My doctor refused to release me and after exhausting my Leave of Absence benefits I was fired. I worked ICS and can no longer do any lifting. I told my Store Manager that I needed a sit-down job or something where I do no lifting and she told me ABSOLUTELY NOT! She told me they were going to have to let me go and then tried lying to the unemployment people by telling them I quit. Well with everything I had documented from my doctor and on my own I was able to get full benefits. Unfortunately they run out in March and I’m still looking for work. Wal-Mart skimps on cashiers and forces floor associates to come up and work a “higher” pay grade job without the higher pay. Stay the hell away from the store in [location withheld]. You will wait in line for a long time and management for the most part doesn’t give a crap.
