When A Doctor’s Note Doesn’t Cut It
Two of those days I had to miss because I had surgery done to my left shoulder and was paid for one of those days. The other day was counted against me even though I had a doctor’s excuse. That may be a part of Wal-Mart policy, but it is against the law. Whenever you have a doctor’s slip to miss work, it cannot be counted against you. They terminated me a few days after the “excused” absence, and they put me on the “eligible for rehire” list, allowing me to be able to reapply on November 18, 2008. I did reapply, but I haven’t heard anything. The only 2 reasons that I did reapply are benefits, and needing a job. Other than that, I don’t care.
