Young and healthy employees only!

• Not having paper applications available. In order to apply for a job at Wal-Mart, you have to be able to go online or apply at a kiosk inside a store. This is impossible for many older or poor who do not have access to computers or who don’t know how to use them.

• Firing those who take a day off due to a medical condition. Doctor excuses are not accepted as a legitimate reason for a call off. If you have a chronic medical condition, you must fill out a temporary leave of absence form signed by your doctor.  Even if your injury or condition is severe enough for a visit to the emergency room, that is not a valid reason for a call-off.

• Demoting and or firing associates who have been with the store for a long time. I have witnessed this again and again at my store. Management denies this, but it happens repeatedly.
